the college of economics and management was established in 1986. it currently offers five disciplines: agricultural and forestry economics and management (a-level discipline in the province, key discipline of the national forestry and grassland administration), applied economics, accounting, business administration, and management science and engineering. the college has a postdoctoral research station and doctoral programs in agricultural and forestry economics and management, as well as master's degree programs in agricultural and forestry economics and management, accounting (mpacc), international business (mib), and agricultural management. at the undergraduate level, it offers six programs: agricultural and forestry economics and management (top-level discipline in the country), accounting (a-level discipline in the province), business administration (a-level discipline in the province), international economics and trade (a-level discipline in the province), e-commerce, and financial engineering.
the college currently has 2019 undergraduate students and 472 graduate students pursuing their master's and doctoral degrees. the faculty consists of 118 dedicated teachers, including 29 professors, 38 associate professors, and 16 doctoral supervisors. additionally, we are proud to have 4 national-level talents and a number of renowned experts and scholars among our staff.
it has established a provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration center, two provincial-level think tanks (the "ten thousand project" research institute and the rural revitalization research institute), the modern rural forestry professional committee of the china forestry economics society, the forestry economics professional committee of the zhejiang provincial forestry society, and the forestry branch of the zhejiang provincial accounting society, among other teaching and research platforms. in the past five years, it has undertaken 30 national-level projects such as major projects from the national social science fund and the ministry of education, and over 100 ministerial and provincial-level projects, with a total research funding of 52.99 million yuan. it has published 134 papers in ssci/sci/ei, published 59 monographs, and won 14 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research awards, including 3 first prizes in zhejiang province's philosophy and social sciences, 7 second prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels, and received 64 instructions from leaders at the provincial and ministerial levels and above, including 2 at the national level.
the college has always adhered to the principle of nurturing virtue and talent as its foundation, leading first-class development with top-notch party building, and continuously improving the quality of talent cultivation. over the past five years, it has established 3 national-level first-class courses and 27 provincial-level first-class courses, and published 12 textbooks at the ministerial and above level; it has won 4 provincial-level teaching achievement awards, including 1 first prize. students have won 505 awards at the provincial and ministerial level or above in the national "challenge cup" college students' extracurricular academic science and technology works competition and other competitions, including 42 national-level awards and 463 provincial and ministerial awards; they have obtained 168 innovation and entrepreneurship training projects, including 29 national-level ones; undergraduate students have published 91 papers as the first author. it has successively won honors such as the national "may 1st women's model post," "march 8th red banner collective," "huang danian-style" teacher team, zhejiang province "college party building benchmark department," the first batch of provincial "college party building characteristic brand," and the special prize of the provincial youth teaching competition. it has also produced a number of outstanding students in economics and management, such as the national "top ten graduates in forestry science" and the provincial "golden bull award" winners.
